Children at this stage begin to be in touch with a wide range of knowledge and skills and involved in school life. Family and school are playing important roles in children’s development. Facing these new challenges, dads and mums need to cooperate with the school, as well as to spare your child some playtime for his all-round learning and development. Apart from your caring role, more emphasis will be put on the roles described below.
Provide various opportunities for your child to expose to and learn new things. Be consistent in guiding him to cooperate with others and obey rules and help him to develop self-control and be responsible for his behaviour
Be a good example. To foster your child’s responsibility, virtues and values, use reasoning and discuss his or your experiences and feelings with him
Take some time to communicate and play with your child every day and pay attention to his emotions. Be there to comfort, encourage and appreciate him whenever he needs it
