To enhance the development of children at this stage,

1. use picture story books to teach them to recognise words
2. allow children to be creative in play
3. do not add new concepts when talking to them unless they ask you

When your child often hits others,

1. Time out is the most effective strategy and should be used every time
2. avoiding him to play with the kid again
3. discuss with him the rules of interacting with other kids and the consequences of breaking them

To help your child get used to separating with you when she goes to preschool,

1. practise leaving her without her noticing so that she will cling less on you
2. practise on saying goodbye to her and leaving her for a short period
3. entrust her to the care of strangers often so that she will get used to staying with strangers

How to take care of children’s health?

1. Have no less than 3 hours of cumulative physical activities in a day including walking and running around
2. Try to provide frequent snack times apart from the 3 main meals
3. Give meat in place of rice to provide the child with energy if he does not like rice

Recommendations on using screen time:

1. Limit the time accumulated for TV or computer games to within 1 hour a day
2. Use screen time (e.g. watching TV) as a reward or punishment for your child
3. Feel at ease to leave the child alone when he is quietly engaging in screen time activity
